Work Experience

1973 - joined the TV industry (SABC Television) – trained as a Vision Controller, then went on to training from Clapper/Loader to Lighting Cameraman on 16mm, Super 16mm and 35mm cameras over the following 5 years. Thereafter worked on many major SABC productions including documentary, drama, drama series, features, sports and news. Wildlife documentaries include many items for 50/50, SABC’s primetime wildlife programme.Upgraded on all video cameras as required.

1994 – left SABC to pursue freelance career.
Second unit (underwater) on 6 international cinema and TV features.
Director/Cameraman on 10 international sport and adventure sport documentaries.

General - Gordon is experienced in all forms of camerawork, in particular underwater, wildlife and adventure subjects. Sports production and camerawork have also been an area of focus throughout his career, with particular emphasis on watersport and motorsport.
